Why high-achieving Indigenous students shun higher education

A recent large-scale study has found that Indigenous children share the same aspirations as non-Indigenous children but high-achieving Indigenous students are significantly less likely to want to go to university than their high-achieving non-Indigenous peers.

Jenny Gore, Professor of Education at the University of Newcastle, outlined the study’s main findings in this piece in The Conversation.
