The 2011 Annual Conference was held at the UTS Aerial Function Centre on 17-18 October. For the first time, it comprised representatives of the Australian Research Directors in Education Network (ARDEN) group and the newly established Network of Associate Deans of Learning and Teaching in Education (NADLATE) group, as well as Deans of Education.  Conference delegates met within their groups and in sessions with colleagues from the other two groupings, leading to closer collaboration across the discipline.

The keynote addresses were delivered by Professor Ross Milbourne, VIce-Chancellor of UTS; Narelle Kennedy, Chief Executive of the Australian Business Foundation; and, to mark the twentieth anniversary of ACDE, former Council Presidents Professor Richard Bates and Professor Kym Adey. The 2012 Conference will be held in Adelaide in either September or October. More details will be sent to potential delegates nearer the time.
